Ya, life has been good.
I’ve been on the move,
I’ve been in the mood..
No time to be rude,
It’s all about showing love and being kind.
Look around, everybody’s on the grind..
Always got things on my mind.
I’m leading the line,
I’m not falling behind, Coz I ain’t waiting for signs..
Now is the time,
To discover things I’ve been trying to find.
I’m learning that it’s ok to fight,
It’s ME vs ME
And I’ve been fighting the side I’m trying to hide.
It’s humility vs pride,
I’m gonna make it vs I’ll try.
Just wanna survive vs I’ll thrive,
I cannot dream big vs I’ll fly..
Is it the thoughts or the work that keep you up at night?
Try to make it the latter and future is bright.
No height’s so high that I cannot reach,
No wall so strong that I cannot breach.
Got a list of mistakes I shouldn’t repeat,
There’s parts of me that I wish I could delete.
But as long as I’m self aware, there’s no defeat.
I don’t like abrupt endings,
Gotta get done with what you’ve started.
Looking for opportunities,
I’ve been stranded.
Took too many hits but I’ve got the grit,
So I’m still standing.
I ain’t just standing, I’m moving ahead..
Eliminating the threats.
I’m weaving my story, thread after thread.
I’m taking my shots at getting loaded,
Wait, let that irony sink into my head.
I can’t get hurt, expectations are dead..
That’s how I feel, that ain’t a flex.
Now ignoring the red flags out of reflex..
A few moments put me up on a cliff,
A few others felt like an apocalypse.
I’m spotting the fake ones like they put on a bib.
I only give comebacks, I do not crib.
Have been pushing myself since I was a kid..
I do as I say, I do not kid.
They tried to contain me and I blew off the lid.
Always keeping myself in check,
Trying to read myself in depth.
I don’t doubt myself, instead I inspect..
Rectifying my errors and I gain my respect,
To me.. that’s all that matters,
I’m doing my best, I’ll figure out the rest.
