Yesterday's sun is in a Slumber.
The fields were green and grass was swaying with the wind,
Now, the grass, and blooms they hardly emerge;
Yet the roots are still there, down deep, waiting,
Not visible to the naked eye.
That does not mean they are gone.

Yesterday's sun is in a Slumber.
Now, we see the stark trees, with think arms and hands,
No blooms or flowers, or summer fruits do hang on them.
Yet they are not gone, no not gone,
For they will return with Spring, they will return.

Yesterday's sun is in a Slumber.
The snow covers the ground and nature, even homes,
A glistening blanket of white, picturesque,
The stuff of Christmas cards.
The sun is not gone, simply in the background,
In a slumber, but not gone.

Jesus Calls Us

With The Word that was from the beginning,
The Holy Birth in Bethlehem,
With every step He took on earth,
Every Word most Holy he taught us,
And His shed blood at Calvary,
What does He do?

I know what all that means to me and I hope to you my friend.

Jesus calls us,
Calls us to walk with Him.
Jesus calls us,
Calls us to be holy ones.
Jesus calls us

With His glorious resurrection,
His transfiguration and ascension,
And His glory as King of Kings,
Final Judge of all things on heaven and earth
What does he do?

I know what all that means to me and I hope to you my friend.

Jesus calls us,
Calls us to walk with Him.
Jesus calls us,
Calls us to be holy ones.

Jesus Calls Us

The bells jingled though the town,
And the trees gave a pool of light to the waters,
These waters on the pier.
From near and far people came to the town,
name a town to see these pools of shimmering light.
That light to remind us of the one who is the true light.

Now, as we near that time, one wonders if,
If those lights will every shine bright again.
So I pray with all my heart, I pray

Chorus

Let the light shine bright once again,
Let the pools of water shimmer bright.
Let the Light shine bright once again,
Let the heart of man look to the sky in all things.

As the snow blanketed the streets and all it fell upon,
One could once feel the spirit of the Lord in the air,
Smell of holiday cookies, and other sweet treats filled the air,
The beauty of it all, if one knew what to focus on,
What that 25th day of December was truly about.
The light of all lights, Kind of Kings,
Reason for the season.

Now, as we near that time, one wonders if,
If those lights will every shine bright again.
So I pray with all my heart, I pray

Chorus

Let the light shine bright once again,
Let the pools of water shimmer bright.
Let the Light shine bright once again,

Let The Light Shine Bright

There in the fields, so long ago,
As the children played in the chill of day,
A mix of laughter, tears and wonder,
Somewhere in the Heavens,
A Christmas Hymn, Christmas Hymn born to all,

Let us look to the skies and with eyes closed give thanks,
Give thanks for the blessings we have been given,
Even as we pray for others to receive theirs,
Let’s realize what awaits on the 25th of December,
Already the angels preparing, preparing for what?
A Christmas Hymn, Christmas Hymn born to all.

The Magi went in search of The King,
Found a newborn babe in a bed of hay,
Humble parents, the animal keeping the babe warm,
Watching over the King of Kings.
A Christmas Hymn, Christmas Hymn born to all.

Peace on earth, good will to men,"
Ring from angel lips afar,
The angels all sang in beautiful harmony.
That star that Herod so feared, so bright,
That star still gives hope to the wretched
And those seeking to be free, as it sang
A Christmas Hymn, Christmas Hymn born to all,
Yes, A Christmas Hymn, Christmas Hymn born to all.

A Christmas Gift, A Gift To you

Whisked away are the summer hours,
The birds have left their nests;
While the holly holds onto his color and hue,
Doesn’t change like the flowers.
On his fuzzy leaf reposes
The berries reminded me of the red of roses;
For the holly can always be seen in red or green,
This holiday holly most red or green.

Let’s toast to the holly berry,
Part fo the season, season of Bethlehem;
The mistletoe let’s drink to also,
And at Christmas all be at peace,
Even if just for the season,
as we gaze this berry,
This holiday holly most red or green.

Like pleasant memories
The ivy grows, and a deep veil it covers,
It covers Time's imperfections;
A heart that's homeward leaning,
Remembering that one great love.
As we recollect, let’s toast,
Toast,This holiday holly most red or green.

Let’s at Christmas all be merry.
A we read ancient, yet not so ancient story,
Drink to the holly berry, and the mistletoe,
To those with us and those gone to the heavens
Come, let us toast,
Toast,This holiday holly most red or green.

The Holiday Holly Most Red and Green

Your heart speaks to me, through time and space.
I can hear your heart whispering a song, a sad and beautiful song,
And I wonder is that sad and beautiful song for me?
Is it for me or for us, for what could have been?
I wonder sometimes if you still think of me,
And if your heart still longs for me.

Your heart speaks to me, through time and space.
On top of a hill I am here, sitting wondering
Wondering if you and I could be,
And asking myself if you wonder to.
If you do, what answers you find.

Your heart speaks to me, through time and space.
I can sense you, sense you longing to be near,
Your arms stretched out to the sky, but finding only air.
I wonder if you know that I long for you,
As you also long for me.

Your heart speaks to me, through time and space.
I sit here wondering, longing and trusting,
Trusting that iff we are meant to be,
You will meet me on that hill and we will fly,
We will soar to great heights, you and I.
Your heart speaks to me, through time and space.

Your Heart Speaks To Me

Clarity, Sweet Clarity

I was so lost, but didn't know it,
Thought I was free, but didn't know what freedom was.
I was spinning round and round, going everywhere,
But I was going nowhere,
Was living in a fog, such a fog.
Heaven help me find my way home,
Please help me find my way home.
Somehow, prayers were answered,
Now sure exactly how, but it came, ti came.

Chorus:

Clarity, sweet clarity gift of heaven,
Came to me like a blazing chariot cutting through the darkness,
Clarity, sweet clarity, a gift of heaven,
May you be my constant companion.

I know there will be times when I may still stumble along this road,
And some uncertainty may cast a bit of a shadow over me,
But it will be brief, only for the shortest time,
For I have found, Lord I have found my way home,
Home to that guiding light.

Chorus:

Clarity, sweet clarity gift of heaven,
Came to me like a blazing chariot cutting through the darkness,
Clarity, sweet clarity, a gift of heaven,
May you be my constant companion.
