I Cannot Write Without You

I cannot write without you,
If only you knew.
Please come back,
Let’s follow the same track.

You have disappeared from view
And left me in a stew.
Can’t we just talk?
Please don’t walk.

I cannot write without you,
If only you knew.
Please come back,
Let’s follow the same track.

Intrigued about my country as a child,
Would you visit me? Or, am I too wild?
Please tell me about your life,
As I am in two, cut by a knife.

I cannot write without you,
If only you knew.
Please come back,
Let’s follow the same track.

I don’t know if we can be together,
As we are like different weathers.
My moods change rapidly from hot to cold,
You’re my breeze to grasp and hold.

I cannot write without you,
If only you knew.
Please come back,
Let’s follow the same track.

Don’t leave me in this mess.
With you, my life is blessed.
You say so little and give me your thumb,
Open your heart, tell me, am I “The One”?

I cannot write without you,
If only you knew.
Please come back,
Let’s follow the same track.

I Cannot Write Without You

Icy Igloo

He lived his lonesome life
Of coldness and doom.
Long forgotten, life forgotten,
Love will be here soon …

Coldness on the outside,
Coldness on the inside.
Coldness he couldn’t hide.
Coldness he couldn’t abide!

Outside, the wind whipped,
The darkness droned on.
Completed isolation,
The sun never shone.

Coldness on the outside,
Coldness on the inside.
Coldness in his bones,
Coldness he couldn’t abide!

Inside, the coldness continued
To seep stealthily into his heart,
Numbing him to his very core.
Breaking him apart.

Coldness on the outside,
Coldness on the inside.
Coldness in his bones,
Coldness he couldn’t abide!

Depression roared,
The phantom of his soul,
He tried to cross the bridge,
But it had an enormous toll …

Coldness on the outside,
Coldness on the inside.
Coldness in his bones,
Coldness he couldn’t abide!

The toll of the bridge,
The toll on his soul,
Away from his problems,
He just couldn’t roll …

Coldness on the outside,
Coldness on the inside.
Coldness in his bones,
Coldness he couldn’t abide!

The whiteout whirled
Around his face.
Around him,
He could see no space.

Coldness on the outside,
Coldness on the inside.
Coldness in his bones,
Coldness he couldn’t abide!

His isolated igloo,
The safety of one,
Is this the way to be?
Is it fun?

Coldness on the outside,
Coldness on the inside.
Coldness in his bones,
Coldness he couldn’t abide!

We all need time,
To relax and just “be”,
To take time out
And just be free.

Coldness on the outside,
Coldness on the inside.
Coldness in his bones,
Coldness he couldn’t abide!

But, sometimes we
All need a friend
Or how will our broken hearts
Ever mend?

Coldness on the outside,
Coldness on the inside.
Coldness in his bones,
Coldness he couldn’t abide!

The loss of his Mother,
The loss of his girlfriend,
His heart felt numb,
Would it ever mend?

Coldness on the outside,
Coldness on the inside.
Coldness in his bones,
Coldness he couldn’t abide!

The stunning silence,
Pervaded his ears,
Amplifying his darkest doubts,
His deepest fears.

Coldness on the outside,
Coldness on the inside.
Coldness in his bones,
Coldness he couldn’t abide!

He lay down, debilitated,
Nothing left to lose.
In his igloo he hid,
Feeling so blue.

Coldness on the outside,
Coldness on the inside.
Coldness in his bones,
Coldness he couldn’t abide!

He sank into his slumber,
Gratefully into dreams,
Of what once was
And what should have been …

Coldness on the outside,
Coldness on the inside.
Coldness in his bones,
Coldness he couldn’t abide!

As he slept, a lady, like
An angel did come,
She warmed his soul,
He burnt, like the sun.

Warmness on the outside,
Warmness on the inside,
Warmness in his bones,
Warmness he couldn’t hide.

She slid next to him,
Upon his bed she lay,
Where she remained
Until the next day.

Warmness on the outside,
Warmness on the inside,
Warmness in his bones,
Warmness he couldn’t hide.

When he awoke,
His bed glittered gold,
Shimmering showers of love,
Of that I’m told.

Warmness on the outside,
Warmness on the inside,
Warmness in his bones,
Warmness he couldn’t hide.

He felt his life
Had taken on a new start.
Minds and bodies as one,
Heart to heart!

Warmness on the outside,
Warmness on the inside,
Warmness in his bones,
Warmness he couldn’t hide.

He wrote his wish in the letter,
The letter to his soul mate.
It made him feel better
And, yes, he would wait …

One day she would come,
He held her in his heart,
His life would be complete
And never would they part.

He wrote his wish in the letter,
The letter to his soul mate.
It made him feel better
And, yes, he would wait …

For now, life would carry on,
But he felt a little sad.
He so wanted his love to appear
And then he would be glad.

He wrote his wish in the letter,
The letter to his soul mate.
It made him feel better
And, yes, he would wait …

He daydreamed about his other half
As on the board scraped the chalk.
More than sex, he wanted love
And someone whom he could talk.

He wrote his wish in the letter,
The letter to his soul mate.
It made him feel better
And, yes, he would wait …

Perhaps he had met her,
He really didn’t know,
He could feel her emotions
And his love was beginning to grow…

He wrote his wish in the letter,
The letter to his soul mate.
It made him feel better
And, yes, he would wait …

He could feel the connection,
As is she was standing near,
Whispering her love to him,
Softly in his ear.

He wrote his wish in the letter,
The letter to his soul mate.
It made him feel better
And, yes, he would wait …

His soul starved and needing love
How coquettishly she teased,
She cheered up and filled his heart
This love was like a disease…

He wrote his wish in the letter,
The letter to his soul mate.
It made him feel better
And, yes, he would wait …

The power of her pen,
It took him to places he’d never been.
Oh how he wished he could change
His life to a different scene...

He wrote his wish in the letter,
The letter to his soul mate.
It made him feel better
And, yes, he would wait …

She set his body alight,
Like he had never felt before.
His heat began to rise
And his flames within did roar.

He wrote his wish in the letter,
The letter to his soul mate.
It made him feel better
And, yes, he would wait …

His life limped on,
But he was not there.
His heart, mind and body
Were roaming elsewhere.

He wrote his wish in the letter,
The letter to his soul mate.
It made him feel better
And, yes, he would wait …

One day, she rang him
And asked him to her door.
She wanted him beside her
And could wait no more.

He wrote his wish in the letter,
The letter to his soul mate.
It made him feel better
And, yes, he would wait …

He bought his tickets.
He took a risk.
This was an opportunity
He couldn’t miss.

He wrote his wish in the letter,
The letter to his soul mate.
It made him feel better
And, yes, he would wait …

But, wait no more my love,
It is not needed - your letter.
For I am here waiting,
Here to make you better!

His Letter

My heart is empty now you have gone,
I miss you and I write this song.
This song of love and attraction,
Of friendship and distraction.

I tried not to love, for I am busy,
But you have made me feel rather dizzy.
When I hear from you, my heart skips a beat,
You are close, as if you are in the next street.

My heart is empty now you have gone,
I miss you and I write this song.
This song of love and attraction,
Of friendship and distraction.

I tried to act cool, even cold,
But for you I have started to unfold.
I don’t want to be like a chuck of ice,
That is not me, but I will pay the price …

My heart is empty now you have gone,
I miss you and I write this song.
This song of love and attraction,
Of friendship and distraction.

But you have not gone for long,
Just time for me to write this song.
I wait your return, for I have thawed,
I want you back and I want more …

My heart is empty now you have gone,
I miss you and I write this song.
This song of love and attraction,
Of friendship and distraction.

My Heart

Lessons learnt in poetry.
Lessons learnt in language.
Lessons learnt in religion.
Lessons learnt in countries.
Lessons learnt in love.
This is the book of love!

You came into my life
Through the electronic pages
Of the book.
This is not the book of paper,
It is the book of words and photos.
Perhaps it is the book of love?

Lessons learnt in poetry.
Lessons learnt in language.
Lessons learnt in religion.
Lessons learnt in countries.
Lessons learnt in love.
This is the book of love!

You’re so serious and sensitive,
Calm, fair and wise!
Poems spoken from your heart.
If I cannot see your face,
If I cannot hear your voice.
Is this the book of love?

Lessons learnt in poetry.
Lessons learnt in language.
Lessons learnt in religion.
Lessons learnt in countries.
Lessons learnt in love.
This is the book of love!

Poems to wake up the world.
I can feel you in your poetry,
I know you, I understand you,
It is as if
You are right next to me.
What is this book of love?

Lessons learnt in poetry.
Lessons learnt in language.
Lessons learnt in religion.
Lessons learnt in countries.
Lessons learnt in love.
This is the book of love!

The Book of Love

There is love, love in the sea,
Love, love, for you and me.
Love, love at first glance,
Love, love, for which I will dance.

Love, for you at your party,
Love, when you are hearty,
Love, I have rescued you and taken you to shore,
Love, for which I have been ignored.

Love, I have taken a potion,
Love, so you recognise my devotion,
Love, I have lost my tail,
Love, but this is a different tale.

Love, I can no longer speak,
Love, I now feel quite meek.
Love, I am considered quite dumb,
Love, in pain I dance and you have fun!

Love, you have married the princess,
Love, the Sea Witch’s spell was not a success.
Love, I cannot kill you and return to the sea,
Love, I have more empathy.

Love, I’m now a earthbound spirit and daughter of air,
Love, I am wandering. Do you wonder where?
Love, I have a chance to earn my soul by doing good deeds,
Love, I will one day rise to The Kingdom of God. Take heed!

There was love, love in the sea,
Love, love, for you and me.
Love, love at first glance,
Love, love, for which I danced.

The Little Mermaid

The patient, yet virile Venetian,
Hides, hotly, behind his mask,
Waiting, wantonly for his prey,
Throughout the night and day.

Through the streets, there is dancing,
People celebrating and prancing,
Seductive stares. Sometimes glancing,
When twilight comes – nightly chancing.

The patient, yet virile Venetian,
Hides, hotly, behind his mask,
Waiting, wantonly for his prey,
Throughout the night and day.

This floating city of love and pleasure,
Is bountiful in nightly treasures,
Like gemstones, beautiful and unique,
What is the prize in which he seeks?

The patient, yet virile Venetian,
Hides, hotly, behind his mask,
Waiting, wantonly for his prey,
Throughout the night and day.

Gorgeous gondolas floating.
This romantic form of boating.
Amorous couples kissing,
What is he missing?

The patient, yet virile Venetian,
Hides, hotly, behind his mask,
Waiting, wantonly for his prey,
Throughout the night and day.

Celebratory cappuccinos and seafood,
Flamboyant food getting couples in the mood …
A gondola full of fruit floats by,
Tantalising tastes under the blue sky.

The patient, yet virile Venetian,
Hides, hotly, behind his mask,
Waiting, wantonly for his prey,
Throughout the night and day.

The slowly sinking city is disappearing,
But the sumptuous sunset is appearing.
On crumbling houses, raucous reflections
Jiggle around and enthusiastically beckon. …

The patient, yet virile Venetian,
Hides, hotly, behind his mask,
Waiting, wantonly for his prey,
Throughout the night and day.

Frenzied faces, sparkle in the night,
Decadent desires and delicious delights,
Bodies seething in the crowd,
Voices raised, becoming increasingly loud.

The patient, yet virile Venetian,
Hides, hotly, behind his mask,
Waiting, wantonly for his prey,
Throughout the night and day.

The Virile Venetian

She was just a memory,
Etched in space and time,
The reason for this lost love,
I will tell you in rhyme.

She was his soul mate,
He had searched for so long,
Stuck in his arranged marriage,
It had all gone wrong!

She was just a memory
Etched in space and time,
The reason for this lost love,
I will tell you in rhyme.

She was so emotional,
And so full of passion,
She’d overturned the tables,
In her flirtatious fashion.

She was just a memory
Etched in space and time,
The reason for this lost love,
I will tell you in rhyme.

He said he was happy,
Yet she knew he was sad,
Why did he turn to her?
Good love gone bad!

She was just a memory
Etched in space and time,
The reason for this lost love,
I will tell you in rhyme.

Perhaps he was bored,
Or had an empty place inside,
Perhaps he was in love?
He couldn’t decide …

She was just a memory
Etched in space and time,
The reason for this lost love,
I will tell you in rhyme.

He couldn’t fulfil her
With his poetic thoughts,
They were not enough,
Not what she sought …

She was just a memory
Etched in space and time,
The reason for this lost love,
I will tell you in rhyme.

He thought of her constantly
Confused about her desire.
She was so forthright,
He was somewhat shyer…

She was just a memory
Etched in space and time,
The reason for this lost love,
I will tell you in rhyme.

She was so different,
And held a place in his heart,
Was she the missing puzzle?
He couldn’t bear to be apart.

She was just a memory
Etched in space and time,
The reason for this lost love,
I will tell you in rhyme.

Every time he spoke,
She experienced a thrill,
But how did he want her
And did he want her still?

Was she just a memory?
Etched in space and time?
The reason for this lost love,
I have told you in rhyme.

Warmness he couldn’t hide.

He felt his life
Had taken on a new start.
Minds and bodies as one,
Heart to heart!

Warmness on the outside,
Warmness on the inside,
Warmness in his bones,
Warmness he couldn’t hide.

Icy Igloo

He wrote his wish in the letter,
The letter to his soul mate.
It made him feel better
And, yes, he would wait …

One day she would come,
He held her in his heart,
His life would be complete
And never would they part.

He wrote his wish in the letter,
The letter to his soul mate.
It made him feel better
And, yes, he would wait …

For now, life would carry on,
But he felt a little sad.
He so wanted his love to appear
And then he would be glad.

He wrote his wish in the letter,
The letter to his soul mate.
It made him feel better
And, yes, he would wait …

He daydreamed about his other half
As on the board scraped the chalk.
More than sex, he wanted love
And someone whom he could talk.

He wrote his wish in the letter,
The letter to his soul mate.
It made him feel better
And, yes, he would wait …

Perhaps he had met her,
He really didn’t know,
He could feel her emotions
And his love was beginning to grow…

He wrote his wish in the letter,
The letter to his soul mate.
It made him feel better
And, yes, he would wait …

He could feel the connection,
As is she was standing near,
Whispering her love to him,
Softly in his ear.

He wrote his wish in the letter,
The letter to his soul mate.
It made him feel better
And, yes, he would wait …

His soul starved and needing love
How coquettishly she teased,
She cheered up and filled his heart
This love was like a disease…

He wrote his wish in the letter,
The letter to his soul mate.
It made him feel better
And, yes, he would wait …

The power of her pen,
It took him to places he’d never been.
Oh how he wished he could change
His life to a different scene...

He wrote his wish in the letter,
The letter to his soul mate.
It made him feel better
And, yes, he would wait …

She set his body alight,
Like he had never felt before.
His heat began to rise
And his flames within did roar.

He wrote his wish in the letter,
The letter to his soul mate.
It made him feel better
And, yes, he would wait …

His life limped on,
But he was not there.
His heart, mind and body
Were roaming elsewhere.

He wrote his wish in the letter,
The letter to his soul mate.
It made him feel better
And, yes, he would wait …

One day, she rang him
And asked him to her door.
She wanted him beside her
And could wait no more.

He wrote his wish in the letter,
The letter to his soul mate.
It made him feel better
And, yes, he would wait …

He bought his tickets.
He took a risk.
This was an opportunity
He couldn’t miss.

He wrote his wish in the letter,
The letter to his soul mate.
It made him feel better
And, yes, he would wait …

But, wait no more my love,
It is not needed - your letter.
For I am here waiting,
Here to make you better!

His Letter

My heart is empty now you have gone,
I miss you and I write this song.
This song of love and attraction,
Of friendship and distraction.

I tried not to love, for I am busy,
But you have made me feel rather dizzy.
When I hear from you, my heart skips a beat,
You are close, as if you are in the next street.

My heart is empty now you have gone,
I miss you and I write this song.
This song of love and attraction,
Of friendship and distraction.

I tried to act cool, even cold,
But for you I have started to unfold.
I don’t want to be like a chuck of ice,
That is not me, but I will pay the price …

My heart is empty now you have gone,
I miss you and I write this song.
This song of love and attraction,
Of friendship and distraction.

But you have not gone for long,
Just time for me to write this song.
I wait your return, for I have thawed,
I want you back and I want more …

My heart is empty now you have gone,
I miss you and I write this song.
This song of love and attraction,
Of friendship and distraction.

Lessons learnt in poetry.
Lessons learnt in language.
Lessons learnt in religion.
Lessons learnt in countries.
Lessons learnt in love.
This is the book of love!

You came into my life
Through the electronic pages
Of the book.
This is not the book of paper,
It is the book of words and photos.
Perhaps it is the book of love?

Lessons learnt in poetry.
Lessons learnt in language.
Lessons learnt in religion.
Lessons learnt in countries.
Lessons learnt in love.
This is the book of love!

You’re so serious and sensitive,
Calm, fair and wise!
Poems spoken from your heart.
If I cannot see your face,
If I cannot hear your voice.
Is this the book of love?

Lessons learnt in poetry.
Lessons learnt in language.
Lessons learnt in religion.
Lessons learnt in countries.
Lessons learnt in love.
This is the book of love!

Poems to wake up the world.
I can feel you in your poetry,
I know you, I understand you,
It is as if
You are right next to me.
What is this book of love?

Lessons learnt in poetry.
Lessons learnt in language.
Lessons learnt in religion.
Lessons learnt in countries.
Lessons learnt in love.
This is the book of love!

The Book of Love

There is love, love in the sea,
Love, love, for you and me.
Love, love at first glance,
Love, love, for which I will dance.

Love, for you at your party,
Love, when you are hearty,
Love, I have rescued you and taken you to shore,
Love, for which I have been ignored.

Love, I have taken a potion,
Love, so you recognise my devotion,
Love, I have lost my tail,
Love, but this is a different tale.

Love, I can no longer speak,
Love, I now feel quite meek.
Love, I am considered quite dumb,
Love, in pain I dance and you have fun!

Love, you have married the princess,
Love, the Sea Witch’s spell was not a success.
Love, I cannot kill you and return to the sea,
Love, I have more empathy.

Love, I’m now a earthbound spirit and daughter of air,
Love, I am wandering. Do you wonder where?
Love, I have a chance to earn my soul by doing good deeds,
Love, I will one day rise to The Kingdom of God. Take heed!

There was love, love in the sea,
Love, love, for you and me.
Love, love at first glance,
Love, love, for which I danced.
