Chorus
What is this place.
I don’t recognize it anymore.
What is this place.
What use to cost a dollar now cost four.

Verse 1
The homeless number seems to grow each day.
Others of us work hard for very little pay.
We watch as the already wealthy grow more rich.
While the common folk seem to be stuck in a ditch.

Chorus

Verse 2
We’ve been searching the horizon for some light,
But the darker it gets, the harder we fight.
If there’s a way back, Lord, show us a sign,
Help us find the strength to know we’ll be fine.

Chorus

Plight of the Common Folk

Verse 1: In the frosty air, there’s a cheerful sound.
Bells ring merrily as we gather round.
Holiday lights shine so bright,
On this peaceful winter night.

Chorus:
Dashing through the snow in a joyful spree
Midst the winter wonderland so full of glee.
Bells are ringing, laughter fills the air
This Christmas season, a time to share.

Verse 2: Sleigh rides, candy canes, oh, what fun,
Decorating trees when the day is done.
Snowflakes glisten like stars above
Let’s make a wish for peace and love,

Chorus:

Verse3: In a quiet town, so calm and bright,
A starry sky on a holy night.
A savior born in a manger bed,
Grace and joy is widely spread.

Chorus:

Midst the Winter Wonderland

Verse 1: White puffy clouds in the sky will you help dry the tears from my eyes.
When the sadness in life gets to me, my purpose in life here is hard to see.
Chorus: I have to start to smell the roses, be thankful for the fact God gave us noses.
I have to stop living my life in fear, start cherishing each moment that I am here.
Verse 2: I am trying to learn what it means to be free. I have to block out negativity.
Live every day like it is my last. It does no good to worry about the past.
Chorus
Bridge: I think I’ll take a walk in the rain. Let God relieve my pain
Knowing everything will be all right, now that I have seen the light.
