Change rattling in my hand
To pay just what the man demands
Crowd I try pushing through
But my backpack’s strap snaps when I do
I see another minute ticking by
Another mile left behind
I pull my phone from the back of my jeans
Where excuses and apologies fill the screen

But I’d been holding back a little fact that you don’t know
I went and got a ticket home
And it won’t be long before I’m moving on
And if from time to time you come to mind
