Recalling all the twists and turns I took..
All those side roads and dead ends..
Down memory lane I start to stumble..
Half empty bottle close at hand............
I get a little lost.. trying to remember,
Wondering when... and where did I go wrong?
Now much too late...to get a second chance,
So I guess I'll live...and leave this life alone. .....

I'll tell you something.. that occurred to me
A long long time ago,
That there were many... but just a few,

That in the end ..there was only one
And the only one....was you......

If you ever get to wondering about me,
If you'd thrown a different dice of fate,
Just know you probably dodged a fatal bullet,
I would have been your lifelong big mistake...........
So a little whisky helps ..to anaesthetise myself,
Not from some pain ..but from the past,
Lord knows that fateful day still haunts me anyway,
Even after all these years have passed

Sometimes in my dreams I see you smiling,
But in real life... I know I made you cry,
All the promises I made but never kept
All my foolishness, the cheating and the lies............

Then how come we are worlds apart?
I Guess in god's big plan, I was not your man
But it was me that broke your heart......
