If you ever walked a mile in my shoes, you might be surprised by the things that I do.
There's too many cooks preparing my meals, there's too many cogs that are spinning my wheels.
It seems I never win but I'm not one to complain.

I'm taking my time, and times have been tough. I give it my all but it's still not enough.
Been trying real hard, been trying my best. Feel like I need to get some things off my chest.
Wash the dishes, do the laundry, clean up the yard. I take a few steps forward but I never get far.
I took a different way home so I guess that's a start.
