I woke to greet the morning light,
To text fond words that set things right ,
A lover's text, and a winking smile,
A caring call without a dial.
But where your name had always shone,
A silent screen stood cold as stone.
The open doorway now closed so tight
And blocked my love; so, so wrong not right
No quarrel marked last evening’s end,
No stormy words, no bumps and bends;
The moon had watched us laugh and play,
Yet dawn erased our lovers way
