MUSIC FOR SALE

How can I hear my own thoughts if they are being drowned out by the crowd
I just want somebody to ask if im ok, but im afraid to say it out loud

If I am the victim in this, then why am I being attacked
Are they going to keep chipping away at me until my facade is cracked

I portray this image that I am a pillar of strength
But maybe thats just creating distance, keeping them at an arms length

But maybe I can allow that mask to slip or come away
And tell people that actually im really struggling today

It doesn't help for you to say what I have done wrong
Im just scared how my life is going to change after so long

This might be a long journey that I dont want to walk alone
I just want to follow the path that others have shown

I shouldn't be relying on the ear of someone I barely know
My love ones should be there to pick me up when im low

Is it really too much to ask, is it going out your way
