Verse 1
Knowledge is power
Best believe that's true
No body can take it from you
Not even of they wanted to
The more we read, yup
The farther we go
The more we re dealt to deal with
The higher we grow
The higher we enhance
Yea enhance on our brain
It's that hippo-campus that enhances are mem-Ory
It helps us remember
The pointers in life
That were taught to us by our parents (or our uncles and aunts) on how to survive
Who only want the best for us
They don't want to see us fail
They all want to see us explore through life and be the best in our days
They want to see us succeed
Be the best, that they need
To later tell our grandkids
And into their brains feed
Feed the same message
That they fed to us
They want for us the best
Now with the chorus here I go

Chorus
Family, Family s for sure
Family, from there we know who we are
Family, yes they come before friends
Because blood is thicker than water
That's a fact and a trend

Verse 2
Now think about it
Yes imagine you bleed
Bleeding to death
Who's gonna come to your aid
Who's gonna yea help you
In that tough time
Think it's your friends
Not always is that the case now
It's your family
In most cases it's true
There's a higher chance
That you share the same blood yes you do
So now who do you think is fit to come to your aid
Even of your friends wanted to
They wouldn't be able to SAVE, YOU
Because of their blood GROUP
It doesn't match though to YOURS
Like a size difference, imagine they don't have yours at the store
So does that explain it?
Does it now make sense
That blood is thicker then water
No matter which way you put it

Chorus
Family, Family s for sure
Family, from there we know who we are
Family, yes they come before friends
Because blood is thicker than water
That's a fact and a trend

Now knowledge we covered
Followed by the worth of family
Now I'd like to take some time
To mention in this rhyme
How my family helped me
They motivated, reno-vated me, from
A kid to a man
And for that I'd like to say thanks
For teaching me the ways
A real man should stand
Stand tall, stand proud
And never ever give up, until his dying days
Always think before you move, time to PLAY Chess
Always think before you speak,
And for these lessons I'm blessed
And to them, YES I am grateful, for everything they've done.
Raising two boys in the house hold, is no joke, it's def-in-itly not fun
But they stood by their preaches,
Loyal and proud
And I think they did, a pretty awesome job
What do you think? Did they do enough?

Chorus
Family, Family s for sure
Family, from there we know who we are
Family, yes they come before friends
Because blood is thicker than water
That's a fact and a trend
