little bird, little bird,
why you cry?
did you miss your morning worm?
little bird, little bird,
tell me why.
are you hurt, that why you squirm?
are you lost, are you lonely?
your feathers are tossed, where's your mommy?

little bird, little bird,
what's the word?
don't keep me here in the dark.
little bird, little bird,
have you heard?
I've painted a piece of art.
it came within from my heart.
want to see it at the park?

little bird, little bird,
follow me.
little bird, little bird,
watch and see.
you'll see my painting,
call me an artist.
deep. deep down,
I'm just a chef.

a chef did i say?
oh my, I jest.
i wouldn't possibly know how to cook.
what would I cook?
I have no surf.
you're too scrawny for some turf.
little bird, little bird,
do you shiver?
let's stop here by the river.

little bird, little bird,
i caught a fish.
now this could make a tasty dish.
little bird, little bird,
again I jest.
let's hurry to my place
see what we'll face.

little bird, little bird,
didn't your mother warn you of strangers?
the trouble you could get into,
stranger danger?
little bird, little bird,
you look tired.
rest your weary head on this plate.
I'll be quick when I take,
off your head, just like mommy's.
sorry little bird, you look too yummy.

one swing of the knife,
time to cook.
yum, yum, yum, little bird,
i hope you're juicy like your mom.
