Just when I thought I had hit the bottom,

About six feet, I made eye contact with the Reaper.

He reached for my hand and bade me that I come.

The darkness that surrounded was so thick I was choking,
My heart took over as I realized he wasn’t joking.
He seemed so cordial and even understood,
I said, "I’ll take a minute here please if I could."

My whole frame shook, felt like my insides were ripping,
Was this a dream, reality, or just tripping?
