MUSIC FOR SALE

So Close To Heaven

Do you remember long ago
Playing in that field of gold
Writing songs that were deep in our soul
Wanting the world to know

We came from different worlds
Met one day by chance
The music brought us together
Like a warm summers dance

So close to heaven
With every song we would play
Like the sky that needs the sun
We would play every day

We had the world at our feet
People would hear us play
Our voices in harmony
Songs with something to say

We were young just having fun
A future yet to unfold
The dreams in our hearts
Waiting to be told

So close to heaven
On a road chasing fame
Littered with broken dreams
At least we played the game

Looking back on good times
We shared in our prime
It will last forever
Forever in my mind

So close to heaven
On this road chasing fame
Littered with all the broken dreams
At least we played the game

The days are shorter now
Seem so long ago
We made it further than we thought
On the road we did know
