LYRIC FOR SALE

By VW Sherrod

My daddy was a cowboy / And granddaddy too
So when I came along / That's the only life I knew
Coffee cups, pickup trucks / And away we would go
Bustin broncs, honkytonks / Just a chasin rodeos

2nd
By the time I was fifteen / I was on my own
By the time I made twenty / I'd broke most every bone
So I called it quits, I said that's it / One California day
When a big ole Braham sat me down / I said I'm gonna stay

Chorus
I'm a west Texas cowboy
Turned California kid

I said it couldn't happen
But somehow it did

I've traded my horse
For highest bid-----

I'm a west Texas cowboy
Turned California kid

Instrumental

Turn-Around
There'll always be a part of me
In every country song
For once that was the life I lived
And I called Texas home

But somewhere it happened
I lost my desire
And you can't be a cowboy
Once you've lost the FIRE----

3rd
I've traded my bed roll / For a luxury hotel
I gave up all rough house ways / And over nights in jail
Got the ocean at my door steps / And the ladies on parade
Givin up that cowboy life / Best move I've ever made

Chorus
I'm a west Texas cowboy
Turned California kid

I said it couldn't happen
But somehow it did

I've traded my horse
For highest bid------

I'm a west Texas cowboy
Turned California kid

Repeat
