I wish I could change the world with my song.
To make the world a better place,
I wish I could change all that is wrong.
If people would listen and start to hear.
If they’d listen to my song
And harden not their hearts,
If they’d only care.
What a world this would be,
If they’d open up their hearts, open their minds
And open their eyes to see.

To end all prejudice,
All discriminations,
All hated in this world that’s so strong.

To end brother against brother.
Man against Man.
To end all wars, all killing.
Why isn’t the world willing?
The world wouldn’t be so cruel,
People wouldn’t be so vicious, so wild,
If everybody had the innocence of a child.
To change the world would take too long,
I don’t have the power,
