I walked into the room rugged and weary
The blankets tangled with the sheets
The breeze sliding through the window crack so eerie

Knees trembling
My fists are clutched
My sweat evaporating from the escalating fury
What had she done and what I’d do
In no way would it suffice before the jury

And the gun in the drawer
Despite the fact that I still love her
Beckons me to end it all

And the devil on my shoulder
Urges me to pick this boulder and then turn it on myself
And she’s dead

I sat on the couch by the tv
And the drawer now is empty
And my soul is struggling from within me
No remorse now all shall be done

A woeful crackling sound produced by the opening door
And the steam so fresh oozing form the shower
Pale faces turning red
And the bodies slam upon the ground
And my barrels at the ready
All that’s left
To end my self

And the gun now is needless
As she lays there lifeless
Love is morbid as it ends
