Struggling

Wake up every day not knowing what’s gonna happen
Is it gonna be a good one or a test of my patience
They wonder why I sit in the dark enjoying my coffee
Cuz it’s the only peaceful time of the day I can find
I try to keep a positive attitude but I’m struggling
Knowing that at any second the other shoe will drop
Want to have a home filled with happiness
But it’s difficult to accomplish with all that’s happening
I’m struggling to keep my head above water
No one can hear my inner voice that’s screaming
I’m struggling to do all that I feel I should
No one knows the sadness that’s eating me up inside
I’m supposed to help everyone; do the right thing
Even though I’m lost at what that actually is
I’m just wondering aimlessly trying to figure it out
Have no idea what the right answer should be
I’m supposed to fix all the problems for them
But no sees that I need help with my own issues
I’m trying to be strong; putting on the brave face
But I’m falling apart and crying endlessly
I’m struggling to keep my head above water
No one can hear my inner voice that’s screaming
I’m struggling to do all that I feel I should
No one knows the sadness that’s eating me up inside
How am I supposed to go on living like this
How can I be the hero for someone else;
When I can’t even save myself from the pain
How do I make everyone understand how I’m hurting
The struggle to keep my head above water
Is overwhelming me; no one can hear me screaming
I’m struggling to do all that I feel I should
No one knows the pain I’m dealing with
Struggling to get through the days
Struggling to not lose my mind
Struggling to find a solution
Struggling so everyone else is okay
Just struggling…just struggling…struggling…
