The strength of a tree is built over time
Every new ring contributes to the climb
I’ve walked a lot of miles to get to where I stand

Fifty-something winters, and I’m still standing tall

But the gold ain't in the glory, or the things we leave behind

The best is in the present, not the places that I've seen

We forever chase our dreams, but our future is unseen
Now I appreciate all the moments in between
I’d trade a loud and crowded room for a table built for two
