One More Sunrise
By Daniel Conder
One More Sunrise
Verse 1
Another sleepless night, another cracked-up ceiling,
Counting every heartbeat, trying to find a feeling.
The mirror throws a stranger back into my face,
I’ve been running in circles but I’m stuck in the same place.
Pre-Chorus
Every voice inside my head is getting way too loud,
Trying to disappear inside a broken crowd.
Chorus
I’m hanging by a thread, but I’m still holding on,
Even when it feels like every light is gone.
If tomorrow finds me, I’ll fight another day,
‘Cause somewhere through the static there’s another way.
I don’t need forever, I just need tonight,
One more sunrise waiting on the other side.
Verse 2
They say, “You’ll be okay,” like it’s easy to believe,
When every little breath feels harder just to breathe.
I’m tired of pretending that I’m doing fine,
While every smile I wear is stitched together by design.
Pre-Chorus
Maybe I’m not fearless, maybe I’m just scarred,
But surviving every day has always been this hard.
Bridge
If I could tell the version of me ready to let go,
“You don’t have to carry all this weight alone.”
The darkest nights can make you think they’ll never end,
But every storm I’ve lived through taught me how to bend.
So I’ll scream into the silence until someone hears my name,
Because asking for a hand is never weakness, never shame.
Final Chorus
I’m hanging by a thread, but I’m still holding on,
Finding little pieces of the strength I thought was gone.
If tomorrow finds me, I’ll meet it eye to eye,
There’s still a million reasons that I haven’t said goodbye.
I’ll keep chasing daylight through the endless night,
One more sunrise… one more chance to fight.
Outro
If you’re hearing this, you’re not the only one.
Stay until the morning.
Stay for one more sunrise.
