As I lay here I strain to hear your voice in my ear.
I long to feel the rhythm of your breath.
My hand falls on the pillow yearning to feel the beating of your heart .
My head falls on the pillow that I imagine to be your shoulder.
My leg entangles the blanket longing to be entangled with your legs.
I roll over seeking your warmth.
Your voice is engrained into my memory.
Every breath I breathe is to give me life until it can be in sync with yours.
My hands long to caress your body and rest upon your chest.
I can feel your arm it fits perfectly between my head and shoulder.
I feel the warmth that grows between us as our legs become one entangled body.
I ache to feel your chest against my back as we lay as only one body.
Your breath in my ear.
Your heart against mine in perfect time.
I want to feel your body curve to mine as we lay together.
I draw warmth, strength, comfort and love from each other.
We will no longer feel the need to dream of what could be.
We both know that we have all we have ever dreamed of as we lay together because truest dreams have come true.
Until I am able to roll over and kiss you good night. I will seek you in my dreams and feel you if only in my heart.
