LYRIC FOR SALE

By Brian Marcum

Up before the sun, sitting on the porch
it’s Sunday morning this is my church
hot cup of coffee in my hand
view from up on this mountain looking out over God’s land
listening to the birds beginning to sing their praise

while I’m quietly thanking the Lord for all the ways
he blesses me every day
Yeah, yeah it’s Sunday morning and this is my church
sitting right here on my front porch

as the first glow of light rises in the east
I ponder the coming of another week
consider all the things I could do
to in some way bring in to, yes bring in to
this world just a little more light
and as the sun begins shining it’s rays

I’m quietly asking the Lord for all the ways
I can best serve him in the coming days
Yeah, yeah it’s Sunday morning and this is my church
sitting right here on my front porch

Yeah, it’s Sunday morning and this is my church
sitting and looking out at the beautiful earth
taking in the gifts of our Lord’s creation
yeah, sitting on my porch sipping a cup
taking in all the wonderful stuff
looking out over the lands below
fueling my soul in the sun’s warm glow
Yeah, it’s Sunday morning and this is my church

No better way, don’t need to be
sitting in a pew, just don’t feel the need
cause I can see, I can feel, I can hear
the Lord all around me sitting right here

Yeah it’s Sunday morning and this is my church
sitting here on my front porch
listening to the birds singing their praise

while I’m quietly thanking the Lord for all the ways
he blesses me every day
Yeah, yeah it’s Sunday morning and this is my church
sitting right here on my front porch

yeah church is anywhere you want it to be
the Lord created it for you and me
just take a look around at the wonders of this world
have a chat with him
and make sure you’re listen’ to his call
to be a better servant to him
to make his world better for us all

Yeah it’s Sunday morning, I’m sitting on my porch
and this is my church
