LYRIC FOR SALE

By Jacob Brandon (JDBrand Music)

[Verse 1]
I used to think I had to clean it up
Wear my best and fake enough
Pray just right, act real strong
Like God would love me if I played along
[Verse 2]
But I kept fallin’ short each time
Tryin’ to earn what ain't ever been mine
Till grace showed up with nail-scarred hands
And broke me down to help me stand
[Chorus]
Ain’t earnin’ this mercy
Ain’t climbin’ no ladder to Heaven
It came runnin’ to find me
When I had nothin’ left to give Him
If love was earned, I’d never make it
But He don’t keep score — He saves me to save me
Ain’t earnin’ this mercy…
It was given at the cross for free
[Verse 3]
I’ve walked through churches feelin’ shame
Thinkin’ I was too far to change
But it ain’t about what I can do
It’s all about what Jesus knew
[Bridge]
I’m not the sum of my past mistakes
He washed it all with amazing grace
Now I walk, not to impress
But to live in love and righteousness
[Final Chorus]
Ain’t earnin’ this mercy
Ain’t workin’ for what’s already mine
It came runnin’ to find me
Through the darkest valley of time
If grace was a wage, I’d never make it
But He poured it out — no way to fake it
Ain’t earnin’ this mercy…
It was finished at Calvary
[Outro – Softly]
No, I ain’t earnin’ this mercy…
It was always meant to be free
