LYRIC FOR SALE

By Sheena Hope

Verse 1
I’m sitting on the fence, I don’t have a view
I’m climbing down, when my mind follows through
I’m burning with shame, as glory it’s reflected
I’m hugging my heart to feel reconnected

Chorus
Forgiveness, like revenge, tastes better with time
The side I’ll come down on, the decisions mine.
you’re over the fence, I hope it is green
If the colour fades, don’t bother to climb.

Verse 2
I’m raising a smile to burn through the fog
Embracing the day, understanding it’s flawed,
I’m deciding it’s time I lifted a flag
To start my life without your hashtag

Verse 3
I’m liberating myself, unraveling threads
Entanglement theory, unwinds in my head,
I’m smelling a place, a green, green space
I’m accepting reality, I hope with grace

Bridge
I’m allowing forgiveness lots of free reign
I’m denying revenge, it causes pain
Thanks for forcing me over that fence
I’m enjoying the colourful consequence.

Last Chorus
Forgiveness, like revenge, tastes better with time
The side I’ve come down on, that decisions mine.
you’re over your fence, I hope you see green
If the colour fades, don’t bother to climb
