By Chris Grider

1Lord we come to you now with a heavy heart
Our whole world has been torn apart
We've cried every tear that we can cry
We just don't know how to them goodbye
Chorus
Goodbye is not forever
When your anchored in Christ
It means I'll see you later
in the bye and bye
But it still breaks our hearts
And tears fill up our eyes
When they go home with Jesus
And tell us goodbye
2We have many years with the ones that we love
But as were holding them near
It's never enough
Our hearts are breaking as we begin to cry
How can we tell them goodbye
Chorus
Goodbye is not forever
When your anchored in Christ
It means I'll see you later
in the bye and bye
But it still breaks our hearts
And tears fill up our eyes
When they go home with Jesus
And tell us goodbye
Bridge
The memories come flooding back
of the time we've spent with them
Even though we know we'll see them again
When they take their last breath
And close their eyes
With tears streaming down our face
We tell them goodbye
Chorus
Goodbye is not forever
When your anchored in Christ
It means I'll see you later
in the bye and bye
But it still breaks our hearts
And tears fill up our eyes
When they go home with Jesus
And tell us goodbye
3We must learn to live without them
As we go on with life
As the memories surround us
And tears fill up our eyes
Time stands still for a moment
As we look up at the sky
And Jesus reminds us
That it's never goodbye
Chorus
Goodbye is not forever
When your anchored in Christ
It means I'll see you later
in the bye and bye
But it still breaks our hearts
And tears fill up our eyes
When they go home with Jesus
And tell us goodbye
Yes it still breaks our hearts and it makes us cry
When we have to tell our loved ones goodbye
