Sanders represented real change,
But he never founded a new party,
Economic power still tightens its grip,
At this point, becoming its 33rd state would be the better path

Your land could be restored by its original people,
Healing old wounds,
Transforming it into one of the happiest places
At this point, becoming its 33rd state would be the better path

No more lives lost in the streets without care,
Warnings before addiction takes hold
At this point, becoming its 33rd state would be the better path

From neoliberalism to prioritizing the poor,
Achieving it without a single shattered glass
At this point, becoming its 33rd state would be the better path
