LYRIC FOR SALE

By Janie Cobb

Verse 1:
What a good Friday, oh, what a good Friday
To know that you are loved, yes, you are loved
To know that you are protected, safe in His arms
To know that you are never alone, never alone
To know that you lack nothing, nothing at all

Pre-Chorus:
Jesus Christ, He rebuked the enemy
Fighting for you and me
Opposing the darkness, pain and cruelty
Mocked and tortured, yet He was free

Chorus:
What a good Friday, oh, what a good Friday
To know that you are loved, yes, you are loved
To know that you are protected, safe in His arms
To know that you are never alone, never alone
To know that you lack nothing, nothing at all

Verse 2:
Jesus paid for our sins, every single one
So we may be like Him, His will be done
Free from temptation, from the enemy’s sway
Receive salvation, He leads the way

Pre-Chorus:
Jesus gained the victory, so we can be free
Reconnected with God, eternally
Stay in His presence, feel His embrace
He’ll help you carry your cross with grace

Chorus:
What a good Friday, oh, what a good Friday
To know that you are loved, yes, you are loved
To know that you are protected, safe in His arms
To know that you are never alone, never alone
To know that you lack nothing, nothing at all

Bridge:
Oh, Jesus, we thank You, for all You’ve done
You paid the price, through the Holy One
You shed Your blood, for all mankind
What a good Friday, we are now aligned

Outro:
Thank You, Heavenly Father, for Jesus Christ
And His blood that was shed for many, for the remission of sins
What a good Friday, oh, what a good Friday
We are loved, we are free, we are Yours forevermore.
