A silence in the bottle, deep and still,
Each sip a shield, never a thrill.
I wear my sadness like a second skin,
Falling deeper in a well I can’t climb in.

Empty faces passing by,
I push away the thoughts of you and I.
They don’t see the fight inside my head,
Can’t hear the words I’ve left unsaid.

In the whispers, the truth comes clear,
Pushing away what you hold dear—
The path to recover starts with you,
To mend the ties and see it through.

The weight of the world is heavy tonight,
Gun in reach, searching for my fight.
Glass in hand, I numb the ache,
But it’s only peace I cannot fake.

In my reflection, I catch a stare,
A glimpse of hope I never knew was there.
Through broken pieces, there’s still a flame,
Whispering softly, calling my name.
