Sometimes late at night, I walk the streets of might-have-been,
Wondering about the ghost of me, in a life unseen.
What if I had turned left, not right, one fateful day?
Would a shadow of myself live better, in some other way?

Could I peek through the veils of a parallel space,
Catch a glimpse of a smile on another me's face?
In the universes spread out and wide,
Are there versions of me with nothing to hide?

There's a world where I sailed far across the sea,
Chasing dreams on the edge of reality.
Another path, a door once closed, echoes of laughter, a life unopposed.
Where every risk I dared to take, in that universe, my life remakes.

Or are they just mirages in the cosmos, so vivid?
