My Grace is Sufficient

Verse 1

If I should boast in my weakness
Would you say it was a sin?
Would you close the doors of heaven
And refuse to let me in?

Or would your mercy be upon me
Through the blood that you once shed?
Would I be a child of God
With a crown upon my head?

Chorus

He said, my grace is sufficient
Even for a man like you
My power is perfected
In the weakness you go through

Let my spirit rest upon you
Call my name when your in need
Yes, my grace is sufficient
You can put your trust in me

Verse 2

I don’t do the things I want
I do the things that I hate
It’s the sin that lives within me
How I pray it’s not too late

This ol’ man will cease to be
And the new will come to life
Lord I pray to be a free man
From the sin and from the strife

Chorus

He said, My grace is sufficient
Even for a man like you
My power is perfected
In the weakness you go through

Let my spirit rest upon you
Call my name when your in need
Yes, my grace is sufficient
You can put your trust in me

Verse 3

My light is growing dim now
My wandering almost done
I’ve made my peace with Jesus
The race almost won

I’ve confessed and accepted
and now I do believe
The power of the Lamb
And the words he said to me

Chorus

He said, my grace is sufficient
Even for a man like you
My power is perfected
In the weakness you go through

Let my spirit rest upon you
Call my name when your in need
Yes, my grace is sufficient
You can put your trust in me
