Verse
It matters not, who I am, what I look like in the sight of man.
I am the child of my father.
It matters not if I am large or small, Short or tall in the eyes of another
I am the child of my father.
Verse
It matters not, if the colour of my skin makes you feel superior
I am the child of my father
That your destiny is governed trying to make me feel inferior.
I am the child of my father.

Verse
It matters not, whether I am rich or if I am poor
I am the child of my father.
It matters not, If I mess up on these mighty shores
I am the child of my father.

Bridge
Child of my father
A child of my father
And there is no other
He rather I’d be, other than me.

Verse
What matters, he knows the value of my worth
He is responsible for my being on earth
Therefore, I will bend to no other.
I am his child; And he is my father.

Verse
What matters, I can trust him in the blink of an eye
I can still stand when adversity passes by
When life is rough and times get harder.
As a child I’ll turn to my father.

Verse
What matters, is that when I look back
I may be bruised but am still intact.
And if I should ever fall in troubled water.
I am guided back to the shore in the arms of my father.
