What is this new love I am in fear of - can I be sure of?
Will it be endless in its pleasures, can this love last forever?

My heart alone at times will dine on the painful memories,
While together, our hearts can feast on the boundless energies of our love.

How can love be proved?
The mere presence or absence of body?
No
And words can be spoken without thought or feeling.
But
Maybe the willingness to give an inch,
Or walk a mile,
Uncomplaining.
To be there,
To lean on,
With absence of sound.
Where only hearts and souls communicate.
Where strength of character is encouraged.
Where the eyes hear what the ears cannot.
Where the heart can hold what the hand cannot.
