Hi Everyone:
I'm a lyricist and singer, mostly country, folk, trop rock and love songs.
I'm new at tthe songwriting game but have written poetry and prose for many years.
Hope you like my lyrics and look forward to working with you!

He's lived a while now
And she's no debutante
For years, they didn't cross
Both seeing a lot of
Life's gain and loss
They've had their share of
Loving, hating, winning and losing
Smiles, frowns, laughing and boozing
Ups and downs, round and round
Times when everyone cared
Times when kindness couldn't be found
As the years flew by they
Found romance a few times
Happiness captured for a while
Not for long, not for many miles
Til they met each other and found
Their forever smiles
After losing ones they loved
They just weren't sure
Is their someone for you and me?
But as their passion grew
They soon enough knew...
One lovely evening
Enjoying a candlelight dinner
They told each other: it's you
It will always be you
For nothing else compares to this love
Nothing else compares...
And their love just grew and grew
Through good times and bad
Together shared all they knew
About being happy and sad
They were so certain
No matter the future they'd share
Their passion would prevail
Their marriage could never fail
No end, no final curtain
For nothing else compares to this love
Nothing else compares...
Knowing how much each cared
For the future, now well prepared
They're absolutely aware
All of life they'll always share
So they found true love
Knowing they were meant to be one
Never placing another above
And they rejoiced that...
Nothing else compared to their love
Nothing else compares
Nothing else compares...

She was raised in the city
By wannabe ranchers
Never left New York City
Papa often grumbled
Life here is far too shitty!
So go West my little girl...
She finished med school
Jumped on a big silver bird
West to Colorado
Somewhere south of Denver
Hoping it was even better
Than what she'd heard
And she told everyone who would listen...
I'm just a big city girl gone country
Looking for some western fun
So sing me a sweet song cowboy
Strum it on your old guitar
Serenade me tonight
Who knows what's to come
She left the big city withiout a trace
Settled nicely into her new place
Checked out the countryside,
Mountains and nearby town
Practicing her profession
Large animal vet, she got around
To all the spreads in quick succession
But her nights were long and lonely
So she did what she swore she'd never do
Dolled herself up in a short jeans skirt
Stepped into the local saloon
He saddled up to her offering a shot
She thought, he ain't too bad
For tonight I think he'll do
He sang and played and then they talked all night long
I'm just a big city girl gone country
Looking for some Western fun
Sing me a sweet song cowboy
Strum it on your old guitar
Serenade me tonight and
Who knows what's to come?
He wasn't the love of her life
No, no, no
Just a dusty cowboy
Who made her feel at home
Fun and funny and could sing
Belting out a silly song just so
About his truck and his horse
About long lost loves and
About his third divorse!
A few years later she met
Her real future lover,
Her soon to be husband
Rancher and a young widower
She bore him three beautiful children
They shared their lives and years
Blissful time that flew by so soon
But in her quiet moments of reflection
She remembered that former city mouse
Who went country
Never back to her folk's shitty house
How one corny cowboy
Sang her a sweet sweet song
Strumming it on his crappy old guitar
Serenading her all night long
Welcoming her to where
She'd always belonged
And she chuckled at her long past youth...
I was just a big city girl
Gone country
Looking for some Western fun
So sing me a sweet song cowboy
Strum it on your old guitar
Serenade me tonight
Just one more night
One last time...
Just one last hurrah!
So sing me a sweet song cowboy
Just sing me a sweet song cowboy
Just sing me a sweet song cowboy
Cowboy...
