Drexel Deal is a dynamic Bahamian storyteller, songwriter, author, speaker and an inspirational voice whose music is shaped by his testimony, resilience, and purpose. Having written more than 50 songs across multiple genres—including rap, pop, soul, gospel, inspirational, and reggae—his writing blends authentic storytelling with strong emotional and spiritual themes that connect deeply with listeners and licensing audiences alike.
Drexel’s life journey fuels his creativity. In 1996, after being shot four times and losing his sight, he transformed personal tragedy into a calling. Rather than defining him, blindness became the turning point that redirected his life toward faith, growth, and artistic expression.
Recognized in the University of The Bahamas President’s Scholars Report and a former Toastmasters Speaker of the Year, Drexel uses both music and words to inspire change. His songs captures his real-life experiences—struggles, redemption, family, faith, and second chances—making his catalog ideal for artists, film, and media projects seeking meaningful, message-driven music.
Today, Drexel works for Social Services in The Bahamas, and he continues to write songs that speak to the heart, tell powerful stories, and remind listeners that purpose can rise from pain.
