My 26th Song—For Zion’s Sake

Every night before going to bed,
Please remember your soul can afford,
To thank God—you get to break bread,
Every day should belong to The Lord,
(Chorus)
Every day let’s be One with The Lord,
We should all be in One accord,
Be glad you weren’t born a Sea Lion,
Instead, let’s all strive for Zion.
Every day, we should focus for God,
Some still have day jobs to perform,
No matter, it shouldn’t be odd,
It should always become the Norm.
Every day we should be an example,
In how we ‘perform’ in our lives,
We have scriptures—they’re more than ample,
They’re for more than just the archives.

Every day should belong to The Lord,
We should all be getting on board,
Please don’t ever cease in tryin,’
Instead, let’s all shoot for Zion.
We were all born, and born cryin,’
From the womb we grew to know,
We’ve the chance to be part of Zion,
So ‘build’ on your knowledge to show.
Our Scriptures they’re kind of unique,
Over 1,700 pages of knowledge,
We truly hope that you’ll seek,
God will certainly acknowledge.

Every day you should pray to Your Lord,
Every one of us should be on board,
We hope you’ll never stop tryin,’
We should all want to be in Zion.
Most folks aren’t aware of an American Prophet,
He was around two centuries ago,
Joesph Smith Jr. and he did what God saw fit,
He certainly didn’t do it for money or show.
Imagine your life being threatened all the time,
Because your beliefs seem different or odd,
Joesph Smith Junior, he was still in his prime,
Until executed by a murdering squad.

Let’s get with it and work for The Lord,
About Him, it’s ok if you hoard,
Instead of each one, slowly dying,
For Zion’s Sake, don’t quit Trying!
When he died, there was a terrible division,
Saints scattered like in biblical times,
To this day we take a lot of derision,
The RLDS have committed no crimes.
If you want to come join God’s true church,
You’d be welcomed with gladness and joy,
We pray for your consideration,
More new Saints, for God to deploy.
