Eve and Adam
By Rubén de Jesús
Adam, why did you divide?
We were so good when we were divine
Was it your fault? Was it hers?
Was it the snake?
Why did He place the tree in first place?
Is that what we call love?
Tell me why, tell me why
Eve, why did you accept all the blame?
You agreed to bear the guilt, what's your aim?
Just give me a reason why, why?
You don’t deserve this, it hurts us all
Maybe that's why a man poured all his blood for us
Is that what we call love?
Tell me why, tell me why
Baby, you were divided from me
As it is written
My backbone I had given
perhaps I was divided from you
We were both divided at first
Is that what we call love?
Maybe that is what we call love
Oh, babe, now I see
God, you were the one who divided
You planted the infamous tree
Because the God-divided isn't really divided
It's a creation of God’s own hand
So, is this God's fault?
Is God somehow a man?
Well, God mustn’t have sex
Because He's the Great Undivided
And the union in the creation is:
Love, love, love
Love, love, love
Love, love, love
And that is what we call love
