Dive into Your Darkness

Artist: Doug Haberman
Artist's Description
This needs to be a dance tune. It’s got a fun, racy, though not explicit, lyric with a theme of domination/submission and a touch of S & M. It’s basically about the submissive realizing it’s time to commit to the dominant instead of being wishy-washy. A male or female could sing it and the singer would have to convey confidence and determination while still showing the joy (to him or her) of being submissive. I already came up with a basic tune for this but I need a composer or producer to turn it into a full-blown song.

Genre(s): Electronica/Dance

Dive into Your Darkness

Dive into Your Darkness
Lyrics by Doug Haberman

Verse 1
You’re twisted like twine and your tongue drips acid
The sex always hurts and I love your passion
I’ve been passive-aggressive, kind of leading you on
Then backing away; now I know I’ve been wrong

(Chorus)
I’m taking the plunge, no more indecision
I’m taking the plunge, I’ve made up my mind
I’m ready to dive into your darkness
I’m ready to dive into your night

Verse 2
You’ve got so many demons I think I’ve lost count
Why you wreak your havoc, I can’t figure it out
But I know myself: I’m enjoying the pain
You’re just what I need, so I promise to stay

(Chorus)
I’m taking the plunge, no more indecision
I’m taking the plunge, I’ve made up my mind
I’m ready to dive into your darkness
I’m ready to dive into your night

(Bridge)
And I’m surrendering to the truth:
It makes my heart race when I lick your boots
I only know when I swallow your venom
That it tastes like hell and I feel like heaven

Verse 3
You unleashed your hounds and they hunted me down
Now the devil himself couldn’t turn me around
You’re one rough beast but to where are you slouching?
I don’t really care, I’ll follow you there

(Chorus)
I’m taking the plunge, no more indecision
I’m taking the plunge, I’ve made up my mind
I’m ready to dive into your darkness
I’m ready to dive into your night
