THE MIGRANT SONG
BY DAVID SCOTT 4/1/24

God Bless these United States,
We love our country’s order,
All the American license plates,
The wall we started at the border.

Yet something happened just a while back,
Elections have consequences,
The country’s progress got knocked off track,
So did the country’s senses.

Millions of souls crossing the line,
So called Migrants—criminals all,
There’s plenty of reason for everyone to whine,
Why the Hell not Finish the Wall.

(Chorus)
Like a Dollar Waitin’ on a Dime,
Don’t you think it’s finally about time,
This country takes our border back,
Let’s deport these criminals, Jack.

Quite expectedly a crisis has erupted,
God only knows who crosses our border,
Long-term politicians stay corrupted,
Paving the way for complete disorder.

Now there’s a housing situation,
Seems the Migrants all have needs,
If you dare go on vacation,
They illegally Fake your deeds.

If they don’t find suitable housing,
While traveling the country on tours,
If they can’t find a place they like,
They’ll simply stop by and take yours.

(Chorus)
Like a Dollar Waitin’ on a Dime,
Don’t you think it’s finally about time,
This country takes our border back,
Let’s deport these knuckleheads, Jack.

After years of consternation,
Another election’s on the way,
Time we soon voice our frustration,
So we can celebrate, next Flag Day.

No more free flights across the land,
Time for free debit cards to end,
You’ll need to pay for what you’ve planned,
They’re Not your damn dollars to spend.

Don’t think you’re voting in our elections,
You haven’t earned that right,
In America, we adjust with corrections,
Sorry if that makes you uptight.

(Bridge)
Like a Dollar Waitin’ on a Dime,
Don’t you think it’s finally about time,
Build that wall and send em’ all back,
Stop worrying about another attack.

In the end the people will have spoken,
Oh, the choices they are so clear,
We can fix what now is broken,
Time for 46 to disappear!
