I turn the corner into a field of green.

There is a ginger cat at play, chasing its shadows away into the nowhere land of bliss.

I moved on to the next street to the place I knew as my rest and play.

I say hello to my neighbour, with a wave.
The door is open. It is my girlfriend who has arrived home early today for a change.

and all I can think about is that.

She is my kind-hearted lover.

She is the sunshine of the day.

She makes it worthwhile stepping outside this cold world of mine.

She is the music to the melody that is dancing in my head.

She is a golden wonder that glistened every day.


We talked about tomorrow and the restaurant I have booked to celebrate.
Our being together for 365 days.

my girlfriend is very excited about it all; particularly proud of the fact that work has promoted her and got a rise. I am in awe of her achievements and her everything.
