The balloons of Cappadocia
Dot the sky with colors bright
As the sun pours out its light
On the mountains down below

The balloons of Cappadocia
Dance on air as passion burns
As the world we live in slowly turns
For the horses down below

The balloons of Cappadocia
Waltz above the ancient land
As the coffee burns your hand
In a café down below

Be the king of Turkish skies
For a rippled flame in time
Breathe the air of sultans past
Smell the soil of ancient lands

The balloons of Cappadocia
Make a show and dance for you
Make you one with the sky so blue
Paint the clouds upon your face

The Balloons of Cappadocia

He'd trade the worlds he makes for laughter
He'd give them all to laugh with you
He knows his load is very heavy
His saddest eyes do tell you so
Milena, the farthest shining star, Milena
Good old Franz sure loves you so
Milena

His hand does tremble to the rhythm
With which ink stains the page he writes
He paints the love with which he loves you
In black and white upon his page
Milena, you are the only cause, Milena
For which hunger's not his art
Milena

His pen caresses white-ish paper
The way he'd love to do with you
From his despair you are his shelter
His ray of sunshine in the rain
Milena, he'd go from man to bug, Milena
If it meant spending life with you
Milena

He'd brave the judgements of his father
If he could share a grave with you
He'd sell insurance gladly
If you'd involve yourself with him
Milena, would you hop right in, Milena
Into the depths of his abyss
Milena

You are the force moving his fingers
Though he wastes away in pain
He'd swallow whole his pain
If you would remain his muse
Milena, what power do you have, Milena
That the dead remain alive
Milena
