When I look at the sky
I see the flowers that woke up early
And hope they do not see me

I unfurl my ombre violet petals
Amythest stars soft as a bee's fuzz
unlike the hairs of stinging nettle

Morning glories and hummingbirds
Pink trumpets and butterflies
Leafy green hearts and conifers
My, oh, my

When I look at the sky
Warmth of the sun beams it's light
Bask in the rays to our delight

Accross the meadow, sparrows fly
the birds chirp their lovely goodbies
The skies of blue fade into yellow

Morning glories and hummingbirds
Pink trumpets and butterflies
Leafy green hearts and conifers
My, oh, my

We don't believe in time
All that is, is what is mine

The sun dies, we say goodbye
to the birds and the butterflies
Pink trumpets curl into a bud

When I look at the sky,
I see amythest stars sparkling
as the flowers sleep quiety by.

What am I supposed to do when I can't follow through with a friendship like I used to?
I still want to see you.
Misery loves company, or so they say, but why do things have to be this way?
I don't want to see our bond decay.

I'm sorry, babe, I can't see you today.
The love of my life is here to stay.
I have an extension of myself
who loves me despite my mental health
You know how I am, I need a true man.
After I got one, you backed away.

I'm sorry, there's someone in my life who brings me joy, he's not a little boy who will toy with me.
I'm honestly getting annoyed.
My life is changing. You're complaining and it's putting a strain on what's remaining of us.
Please let me explain:

I'm sorry, babe, I can't see you today.
The love of my life is here to stay.
I have an extension of myself
who loves me despite my mental health
You know how I am, I need a true man.
After I got one, you backed away.

I have a tendency to take things personally--internally, I have so much anxiety.
So please tell me, do you feel jealousy?
I love you, Amy, please know that I can't just let you go.
My life's been a plateau since your last hello.
I'm sorry if I've made you feel alone..

My life's been a plateau since that last hello.
Please know that I haven't let you go..

Amy, can I see you 5:30 on Friday?
The love of my life has things covered that day.
I have an extension of myself
who loves me despite my mental health.
You know who you are, so hop in my car,
and let's drive away.

Verse 1:

I've never done this before, but people say it's worth it
It hurts to work your way up there when people whisper "she shouldn't do this"
It makes you sweat and so you slip, so you can't get a good grip
I keep trying anyway anyway anyway

Verse 2:

I climb the walls and reach the top
And what I see--
From a world of just black and white to blinding colors of a sunset
Just take a moment to let the rainbow horizon sink in
The beautiful colors just.. captivate me.

Chorus:

I pick up the binoculars around my neck
Looking through these eyes makes the image so small
You can't even see the whole sky
Like seeing things just from your point of view
You don't see the beauty the world provides

Verse 3:

How was I lucky enough to climb these walls?
What about the ones behind bars and in cages?
'Innocent until proven guilty' is a sham.
What's behind those grey eyes and blank stares?

Chorus:

I pick up the binoculars around my neck
Looking through these eyes makes the image so small
You can't even see the whole sky
Like seeing things just from your point of view
You don't see the beauty the world provides

Verse 4:

You can't really see the world through a pair of binoculars
Ironically, it makes the image too small
You focus on one little thing and make it bigger
Zoom in on what you want to see, but it's not what you need to see.

Chorus:

I pick up the binoculars around my neck
Looking through these eyes makes the image so small
You can't even see the whole sky
Like seeing things just from your point of view
You don't see the beauty the world provides

Bridge:

This is a beautiful world we live in
Too bad most of you can't see outside your lense
Too bad you refuse to climb up and see
What the world has to offer
We are so divided
But we watch the same sunset fall each night
The same moon ventures the sky and pulls the same tides
The same sun that photographers love to capture
The same sun who saw all parts of the world
And kept shining.

Chorus:

I take the binoculars off my neck
Looking through those eyes makes the image so small
You can't even see the whole sky
Like seeing things just from your point of view
You don't see the beauty the world provides.
