I graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Film and Video Production, and I added on a Minor in Business Administration to round out the resume. I've spent the last fifteen years writing screenplays, pilots, novels, short stories, poems and now lyrics. I've yet to be published, but if truth be told, I've done a bad job at putting myself out there. Health and money issues have made sending my pieces to contests and publishers fall by the wayside. That being said, the journey has made my work more informed, intimate, and nuanced. I believe it is ready to blossom in the hands of anyone who might see potential in it.
Putting in the time has sharpened my poetry and prose.
My desire to spread hope continuously grows.
Maybe you think this rhyming is a bit on the nose.
If not, we should work together and ignite some shows.
Sorry, I can be a little corny...
But I can get deep. I've written on or lived through issues of faith, mental illness, comedy, horror, drama, sci-fi and mystery. While my current collection is based solely on the Christian music genre, I have notebooks to go through on more secular subjects as well. Right now, faith-based music is radiating from me with little hesitation. It is my intention to use my personal experience to heighten understanding of forgiveness, redemption, faith, trust, and praise. I may sprinkle in a couple of messages of warning, but I feel it fits the times we're in, and provides an invitation to those who may have been lost like me.
You might find that I'm a very liberal Christian (politically speaking). I hope this isn't a problem. I believe in a non-violent, help the needy, aid the stranger, fight corruption, and protect the Earth kind of politics, but realize that the Word cuts across the political spectrum. I hope to work with people who can respect that.
