I was born in Russia in early 60’s. At 7 years old I started studying music. Being influenced mainly in the early years by classical composers such as Bach, Bethoven and Tchaikovsky.
As I grew older my influences changed, becoming more western, listening primarily to rock and jazz: Nazareth, Sweet, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Alice Cooper, Grand Funk Rail Road, Chicago, Weather Report, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Miles Davis.
After digressing for a period of time to study chemical engineering, I later came back to music, studying for four years in music college, meanwhile forming a band, which played extensively through the South of Russia.
After finishing my study, I begun to teach music at The School of Art majoring in Music Theory, Piano and History of Music. I was also responsible for creating musical workshop for the theatre.
I later changed residence from Russia to the UK, with the idea of enhancing my creative abilities, seeing that I was mostly influenced by western styles. This
ought me to Thames Valley University, London College of Music, where I studied for three years Music Technology.
Over the last twenty years I have being involved in many projects of varying styles. Working with artist, producers, sound engineers and writers, such as Bruce Woolley (The Baggles, Grace Jones), Mozez (Zero7), Chris Nicolaides (BBC composer), The Rushing, El
ano, Chris Tsagarides (Black Sabbath, Alvin), Melanie Blatt (All Saints), John Lee (Imagination), Tina Barrett (S Club 7).
This has greatly enhanced my ability in various different fields of music, becoming a multi skilled: writer, producer, sound engineer, keyboard player, and vocal coach. This flexibility allows me the capacity to work in music such as: Alternative, Chill Out, Classical, Jazz, Metal, R’n’B, Rock, Soul, Soundtrack, World.
I would describe myself as a creative and dynamic person, who is desirous of establishing his own music signature. My objective is to make music that’s interesting, helping the artists to stand out in the current market place.
My primarily goal is to be known for a high degree of quality work in music industry.
I worked with Val at Rollover studios some years ago - he is very talented. He has a natural gift for music composition of all genres. He is a determined perfectionist which ensures that the quality of the music he produces is high. He is hard working and it was a pleasure to work with him.
