Snide population, eyes without soul
Minds untested, spirits on hold
Batteries excluded, running on pride
Going, going, gone, anorexic inside

White Horse rode in before
Red Horse followed with war
Black Horse galloping in
Pale Horse waits to begin

Government leaders, considered astute
Led by the devil in a three piece suit
Bloated with power, coruptive as rust
Watch them wind up withered in dust

Lean Season rides in today
Scale raised, ready for pay
Names made from oppression and fear
Tell them, famine is here

Political system that makes the world bleed
Lean Season weighing their greed
False religion shoving astray
Forced worship having its way

Lean Season, drawing a sword
Scale swings, no food to hoard
Mobs fall, hungry and mean
"Black Horse, trample the scene--
"Show them famine was here."

Third Horseman, Lean Season

King David, a revolt is breaking through
He's forming a plot to take your throne
The King states firmly
Shaking his head
"It can't be true!
"He's Absolom, my son

Into battle a handsome young leader rides high
Spurring his mount, his sword raised to the sky
His army cheers, and people have praised his name
His long hair waves upon the wind

Charging the narrow path of a bending tree
His locks ensnare a limb he failed to see
Yanked from his mount he dangles in the air
Struggling to unloose his beautiful hair

David's soldiers ride to Absolom's plight
His mane winds the limb holding him tight
Screaming they send his father to stop the attack
Instead they send their arrows into his back

King David, see th victory we have won
Ended what this traitor tried to do
The King falls moaning
Stricken at the sight
"Would God it were me
"Instead of you

"Absolom, oh, Absolom--my son!"
