Weekends At The Creekbends

(This is very personal)
Few Will Understand
Written by Kirby Fort Knox Murphy

Artistically the pictures you've painted so vividly
I simply study willfully
But theres something hidden within the imagery
Something your not speaking willingly
See visually most folks couldnt have seen visibly
Most just dont posses the ability
I judge by what i see consistently
Probability of you living life peacefully
Instantly exposes your hidden misery's
Soon as you knew i knew got very fidgety
Just want you to know my love comes unconditionally
Mean that deliberately with pure consistency
Know also we are not to much different see
I to have some memories that persistently still haunts me viciously
Believe me im not asking for any sympathy
But my ears got open availability
Even just to talk nothing specifically
If it helps you with all the negativity
As a siciaro thats my responsibility
This is our epiphany even tho we beat systems judicially
Really tho its still killing me

(Real Recognizes)

For The True Few

(Verses 1-3)

Bombs are going off bullets are flying,
His wife prays he makes it home ok,
Knowing there so many of them dieing,
That God wont take her man away,

While hes out there fighting for freedom,
She checks the news to see all they lost,
Tells her baby I do this for a reason,
And living free comes at a cost,

Promises to call her from the base,
Dont know what time it might me,
Yet she stays up to see his face,
Hers he says keeps the fight alive in me,

(Chorus)
Come on home,
Been so long since you been gone,
Right now im missing you,
Wishing I was kissing you,
Know its hard but baby please stay strong,
Till I come on home,
Come on home,

(Verses 3-6)
Call ended so fast they was under attack,
Grabbed his gun and off he goes,
This time they talked would be the last,
Hes laying there with four bullet holes,

The base called to inform his wife,
It hit her like a ton of bricks,
Critical condition we pray he makes it thru the night,
She always knew one day it might come to this,

Bout six a.m they called back to say,
Please sit down mam take a deep breath,
Sorry to say your husbands passed away,
Did all we could we tried our best,

She hangs up the phone,
Says to her self all alone,

(Chorus)
Come on home,
Its been so long since you been gone,
Right now im wishing you,
Wishing I was kissing you,
I wont break down you want me,
To be strong,
Just come on home,
Baby come on home,

(Verses 6-9)
They laid him to rest in his final place,
All his friends showed up gave respects,
As the tears rolled down upon her face,
She thinks about the time they had left,

Pastor spoke about the good that he was,
Only thing that was on her mind,
Hes the only man that she ever loved,
That kind of love was rare for her to find,

Kissed his head said please what for me,
Will never forget you no way no how,
When its my time its your face i want to see,
God says its just not my time right now,

His spirts beside her now,
Whispering she cant hear the sound,
As he said,

(Chorus)
Come on home
Been so long and now im gone,
And god im missing you,
Whishing you could feel me kissing you,
But see time in heaven,
Is much different,
Baby it wont be long,
Until you come on home,
You come on home,

Come On Home

Sippin Beer
Kirby Murphy © 2017

(Verse 1)
That old tree house down past the creek
Still there up in them trees
Thats the place we use to meet
Back when we was teens

(Verse 2)
Same bar that we drank at
Still out past the train tracks
The old times we kicked back
Oh how i miss that

(Verse 3)
But your married now
With 3 lovely kids
I still think about
How did we ever end

(Bridge)
I wish i could just go back then
Back in life when we were just friends
Sitting on those oak tree limbs
And kiss you again
Dance one more time at that bar
Where you stole my heart

(Chorus)
But baby see i got no time machine
And its clear im not an egineer
So im just sittin here
Thinking bout you
Dripping tears
And sippin beer
