Mirror Mirror
G
Mirror, mirror on the floor,
D
What you go and do that for?
G
Your job was safe upon that nail
D Am
Until your stupid string did fail!
G
Now mirror you lay on the floor
D
Among the ‘roaches and the ‘meeces’,
G
The maid has now another chore!
D A D
Well, I hope you rest in pieces.

Mirror Mirror

Blue Bluebird
G
What did they do to make the Bluebird blue?
D
If I were you then I would be so glad to fly

Up there in the sky,
G
No fear to fall at all.
D
And I would be so glad to live in just any tree,
A
No homelessness for me!
G D
Oh, little bird, how happy I’d be to fly about our nation

With no thoughts of starvation!
G D
Oh, little bird, as far as I can see you’re living free,
G D
There are no rulers rules oppressing you
G A
As they are oppressing me.
D G D
So little bird; cheer up, there is a good life here for you.
A
Tis true,
G A D
There’s no reason for a little Bluebird to be blue.

Blue Bluebird

Depression
G D
My hopes are dashed against the rocks of grim reality,
A D
My wings are smashed like an angel who never again will fly,
G D
My dreams are drowned by the overwhelming waves of normality,
A E
My life lies like death upon the cold and sodden shore.

G
My thoughts are screaming to you: "Set me free!!"
D
But they are lost in the cacophony of time,
G
My future is fragmented by the endless gusts of sanity,
D A
My happiness lies helpless in the dungeon of the prison of my
D
mind.

Insy Winsy Spider crawled up the table leg,

Insy Winsy Spider made it to the table-mat,

Then Insy Winsy Spider got battered by the cat!

Insy Winsy Spider crawled down the table leg again,

Insy Winsy Spider climbed back to his web up on the ceiling,

A Grouse House
G
I think it’d be grouse to live in a house,
D
To live in a house in the woods,
G
I think it’d be great to live by a lake,
A
To live in a house by the lake in the woods,
G
And it wouldn’t do any harm to have a bit of a farm,
D A
A bit of a farm near the lake by my house,
G
I could have my fruit trees (someone else can keep bees!)
D A D
That would be my greatest grouse house.

G
It’d have to be warm where there’s nary a storm,
D
(And nary a bad flood of course!)
G
No bushfire and no hail, drive in to town to get mail
A
(Or borrow the neighbour’s old horse)
G
I could live there all alone and write poem after poem
D
(And maybe one day a short book)
G
It would be ever so grouse in my lakeside farmhouse
D
Where on my little wood stove I would then cook
G A
Up a storm just for me so on my poetry I could continue to toil
D
(When I’m not tending my trees (and avoiding them bees!) and
A
planting my own veggie seeds in the soil!)

G
This may seem to you just like the hard work that you try so hard
D
to shirk away from,
G
But a house by a lake with my own home-grown food to partake
D A D
Would to me be a very grouse dream-house to dream on!

A Rainbow
A
A rainbow has five colours
E
And I don’t know why,
A
A rainbow isn’t anything
E Yet it’s right there in the sky,
D
I know naught about the rainbow,
A
Or why the rainbow’s bent,
D
But that it still arches over me
A E
And that it is heaven sent.
D
That’s why I love the rainbow
A D
And why its beauty is the best:

It is Gods graffiti!

I Am A Mighty Mobile Man
G D A
I am a mighty mobile man I am, so hip and cool is me,
D
My mobile is strapped to my hip in its matching holster clipped
A
Onto my matching hipsters mobile holsters holding clip.

G D G D
I am a modern mobile man, connected to the world I am,
G D A
A rover of the world I am, carefree,
G
With my new phone I can reach you anywhere,
D
(Of time I have neither thought nor care),
G D A
Any place on this whole planet that you should choose to be.

G D
I am a modern mobile man I am, I too can jet around the word I

can,
G A
I tell you; one day, when I really can, I will,
G D
But I’ve run out of credits now, so you will have to wait somehow
A D
Til I pay off this stupid mobiles’ sky-high bill!

I Am A Mighty Mobile Man

A Sleeping City
D
Hush; be quiet, in the streets;
A
There’s no one there!
D
In this city made of millions
E
Not a spirit moves the air!

D
I am alone! There’s no one there!

In this cold and busy city
E
There is not a soul to care!

D
I walk and walk the streets

With dark despair,
A
I am hungry for humanity

But still there’s no one there!

D
So now I’m back, and to my bed

I desperately repair,
A
To die in sleep perhaps?

Because there’s no one there.

About Me

Bio

Australian born poet and songwriter looking to make a living in the music biz. Not singer/songwriter! Just songwriter, need singers and bands to do public performing and recording as I can't even busk for a few coins.

CV/History

Nothing to speak of officially. Lots of nice comments. Written a book and a half of poetry and self published that. No sales. Now I am turning my poetry into songs and selling.

Key Dates

I do not perform or tour. My reason for being here is to find people to do that for me.
