I grew up in Germantown in Philadelphia. I graduated from Germantown High School and a few years later I attended Philadelphia Community College majoring in Graphic Arts. It was at this time that I determined I didn’t want to carry the typical black vinyl portfolio case and made my first leather project which was a custom made leather portfolio case. Over the last 40 plus years I have continued to design and craft various leather accessories, I am now a master leather craftsman. After spending 1 1/2 years in college, I left the Philadelphia tri-state area and enlisted the United States Air Force. I served 20 years and 2 months in the USAF retiring with the rank E7 Master Sergeant. During my 20 years in the USAF I lived in England 2 different tours totaling 5 years, also lived in New Mexico, South Carolina, Ne
aska with temporary assignments in northern Italy, southern Italy, Turkey and finally retiring from McGuire AFB. I have also retired from federal civilian civil service after serving an additional 20 years as a civilian employee. Numerous agencies served including 3 years as the first male to become a hand em
oider and industrial tabletop sewing machine em
oider making military organizational flags and United States presidential flags by hand for the Department of Defense. I have written my memoir book in poetic rhyming rhythmic format. I’m also working on a book that tells about the USAF career field I spent most of my twenty years in. The book is based on history facts, fictional and real characters and fantasy. I have won 2 consecutive years awards in Trenton New Jersey’s social justice contest as a spoken word writer and speaker on social justice.I am a poet, verbal and written story teller, and over the last almost 20 years I have used my visualization and graphic skills to record over 200 sermons while in attendance in what felt I was ordained to do while attending church services. I have named these drawings and hand written notes from sermons Scriptural Pictorials. I am considered a scribe by many and often called a 21 century Renaissance Man!
